Nadine Story lives and writes in Australia, where the local birds favour primal screaming over delicate chirping. She holds a BA(Hons) in English Literature and received first class honours for her thesis on intertextuality in fairytales.

Resisting the siren call of the library stacks, Nadine left academia to pursue a career in communications. She has since worked as a copywriter and content creator across Australia and the UK.

Nadine’s approach to writing is lively and heartfelt. She believes that the best puns are the truly abominable ones, and loves fourth-wall breaks even more than stories that make her cry. Her first comedic fantasy novel was a 2023 recipient of Penguin Random House Australia’s Write-It Fellowship.

When she’s not reading or writing, you’ll find Nadine traipsing through woodlands or playing carpool karaoke with her favourite musicals, substituting vocal talent with unfettered enthusiasm.
