Gwendolyn Vines is an author from North Carolina who delights in exploring ethical quandaries and challenging social mores via the lens of speculative fiction. Her works embrace ambiguity in their interpretations, especially when coloured by a reader’s own experiences.

Gwendolyn is also an artist and rocket scientist, having earned a Ph.D. and S.M in astronautical engineering from MIT and a B.S.E in mechanical engineering and materials science from Duke University. Her artwork spans a range of disciplines, from sequential art to figurative fine art and graphic design.

When she’s not at her desk, Gwendolyn can be found puttering in her garden, immersed in a play-by-post D&D game, spouting hot literary takes on her children’s favourite picture books, or playing video games with her husband.
